The swimming pool safety standard is designed to minimise the chance that young children can get into the pool area unsupervised.

Even if your spa has a lockable lid it must also have a fence around it and must comply with the pool safety standard.

Before you complete your pool safety inspection, you need to make sure your pool or spa is registered with QBCC. You can face fines for failing to do this.
